TRIBECA, NY — The only early voting site south of Central Park is in Tribeca, according to a list of the so-far approved sites obtained by Gothamist/WNYC.

The Borough of Manhattan Community College, at 199 Chambers St. will be the site of Downtown Manhattan's lone early voting site.

None are in neighborhoods including the West Village, East Village, Lower East Side, Chelsea, Kips Bay, and Midtown, according to the list obtained by Gothamist/WNYC.

Earlier this year, Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed a law giving New Yorkers nine days ahead of Election Day to cast their ballots. Tuesday, the city's BOE approved 38 sites for the new early voting requirement — far fewer than the 100 polling sites Mayor Bill de Blasio demanded, WNYC reported.

The city's BOE Executive Director Michael Ryan said the sites were a "starting point for this conversation," per WNYC.

Mayor Bill de Blasio tweeted Tuesday the agency has until May 29 to ensure the city has 100 early voting sites, and he pledged $75 million to pay for the sites.

"We put up the money. Now. Do. Your. Job." de Blasio tweeted.
