Tribeca Parking Lot to Make Way for New Apartment Building

A lot at 86 Warren St. in the heart of Tribeca will disappear in favor of a 12-story mixed-use building, according to plans filed Aug. 4.

Goodbye parking lot, hello 12-story apartment building.

The lot at 86 Warren St. is about to give way to an apartment building, with retail on the first floor, according to construction permits filed with the city on Aug. 4. Approval is still pending.

The building will include 5,622 square feet of retail space — all on the first floor — and 49,444 square feet of residential space, on floors 2 through 12. There would be 40 total apartments, with five apartments each on floors 2 through 7 and two apartments each on floors 8 through 12. The plans include private terraces on floors 2 and 8, as well as a rooftop terrace for everyone in the building. There would be a gym and bike storage in the basement.
