Watch: Peregrine Falcons Care For New Chick In Skyscraper Nest
The peregrine falcon eggs are hatching in their nest tucked above the Financial District, here's how you can catch their first moments.

FINANCIAL DISTRICT, NY — The famed peregrine falcons of Water Street will be raising at least one brand new chick this year. The proud parents, Adele and Frank, live atop the 14th floor of the 54 story skyscraper at 55 Water Street, and have found fame online thanks to a webcam that broadcasts the birds as they raise their hatchlings each spring.
Peregrine falcons have lived at 55 Water St. since back in 1999, when the first generation of falcons, Jack and Diane, moved in. Peregrines are listed as an endangered species in New York State but experts say their numbers have been growing steadily since the early eighties.
As of Tuesday morning, just one of their babies looks to have hatched but it appears at least two other eggs are being cared for in the nest as well. This time last year the falcons laid four eggs in the same spot.
