'Art In Odd Places:' 14th St Becomes Gallery For Artists Over 60
The 15th annual Art in Odd Places festival will bring 84 artists from across the country to `14th Street.

UNION SQUARE, NY — From Avenue C to the Hudson River on 14th Street, 84 artists will perform and display artworks this month for Art in Odd Places' 15th annual festival.
The artists, all at least 60-years-old, will feature 44 works from the East to Hudson Rivers Oct. 17-20 for the festival, "INVISIBLE."
"This festival highlights what people choose not to see: the fragility of aging, even the beauty of aging, the homeless, the plight of immigrants, detained children, gentrification, mass incarcerations, lack of compassion, cruelty, and also how the technological cocoon we live in today renders the world around us INVISIBLE," LuLu LoLo, the curator, said in a statement. "But the festival makes VISIBLE: the indomitable spirit of older artists, the beauty of intergenerational work, with a visual promenade of older artists strolling 14th Street."
