Off-Broadway Actress Tried To Shove Woman In Front Of A Train, Police Say
Police arrested an off-Broadway actress who they say tried to shove another woman into a train.

UNION SQUARE, NY — An off-Broadway actress was arrested after she tried to shove a woman in front of a moving train on Friday night, according to police.
Actress Keira Keeley was arrested early Saturday morning and charged with assault, according to police and prosecutors. Keeley shoved a 57-year-old woman from behind while the two were on the platform at the Union Square subway station, according to a police spokesman. Keeley pushed the woman as a northbound 4 train was pulling into the station, but the woman managed to grab a pillar and "avoided making contact with the train," the police spokesman told Patch.
The 57-year-old was bruised on her wrist and elbow but refused medical attention, police said.

Police don't believe the two women knew each other, an NYPD spokesman told Patch, and are unsure what preceded the incident.
Keeley is being represented by a Legal Aid defense attorney, prosecutors said. A Legal Aid spokeswoman said they are denying "any and all charges against her."
