Chicken Wings Coated In 24K Gold Are Available At This NYC Spot

Two Manhattan restaurants are offering chicken wings covered in 24 karat gold flakes.

EAST VILLAGE, NY — Two Manhattan restaurants are offering a pricey twist on standard bar fare.

Instead of regular chicken wings, The Ainsworth is now offering chicken wings coated in 24 karat gold flakes. The chicken wings are soaked in coconut butter, chipotle and honey and then dusted with gold flake, and are served with a blue cheese dipping sauce, according to the restaurant.

The high-end sports bar rolled out the unusual dish this week, and it's only available at the restaurant's locations in Chelsea, at 122 W. 26th St., and the East Village, at 64 Third Ave. You can get 10 wings for $45, 20 wings for $90, or you can spend a month's rent to get 50 wings and a high-end bottle of champagne, the restaurant said.
