ICYMI: Cream Cheese Speciality Shop Opens In The East Village
This shop focuses on just one type of spread: cream cheese.
EAST VILLAGE, NY — A new shop that focuses on one of New York City's favorite add-ons opened in the East Village last week.
Becky's Bites is now open for business in the neighborhood, and the menu focuses on one specialty ingredient: cream cheese.
The cream cheese dessert spot is now open at 122 East 7th St. The menu includes your standard New York bagel and cream cheese combo, plus lots of other snacks and dessert inventions. "Basically what we're doing is reinventing the use and perception of cream cheese in showing how it can be fun and exciting in new and inventive ways," founder Becky Rosenthal told Gothamist. "We like to describe it akin to an ice cream or frozen yogurt shop, except we're using cream cheese as our palate."
