VAN LEEUWEN- 48 East 7th Street.
Since starting out in a Yellow food truck in 2008, Van Leeuwen’s artisan ice cream flavors have become infamous. So much so that you can see lines forming all the way down the block at their 5th street location in the East Village.
If you’re looking for an almost guilt-free indulgence, Van Leeuwen takes the cake. With 26 out of the box flavors, multiple vegan and dairy free options, there is an option for everyone and anyone. Plus, every pint is free of stabilizers and gums. That being said, you’ll be coming home with pints.

MOMOFUKU MILK BAR- 251 East 13th Street.
Momofuku Milk Bar, Christina Tosi’s imaginative bakery, has people lining up at the door to indulge in invented desserts such as cereal & milk soft serve, crack pie and compost cookies. Each of Tosi’s concoctions is the perfect playful mix of sweet and salty.
Take a time machine back to your toddler days. You’re at the grocery store with your mother. But this time, she says yes to every sugar-filled and processed item you reach for. Think fruity pebbles, frosted flakes, potato chips and graham crackers. Yup, you’re an adult now and you can have. it. all.

SUNDAES AND CONES- 95 E 10th Street.
Looking for a sugar rush with a little bit of a kick? Head to Sundaes And Cones, located on 10th street and 3rd Ave. Here, you’ll find delicious, Asian-inspired flavors such as green tea, wasabi and even black sesame. If you’re looking for a traditional vanilla or standard chocolate flavor, they’ve got that too. Another reason we love Sundaes and cones? Their generous scoops. You’ll head home feeling more than satisfied, without breaking the bank. Mmmm.
BIG GAY ICE CREAM- 125 East 7th Street.
High quality ingredients mixed with the guiltiest of pleasures. Traditional flavors with an unexpected and imaginative twist. Whether you’re still a kid, or always will be at heart, you’ll find Big Gay Ice Cream’s borderline inappropriate menu will leave you impressingly out-witted and delightedly full, with flavors such as Salty Pimp. Another reason to feel good about your indulgence: Big Gay Ice Cream gives back to the LGBTQ community.
ODDFELLOWS- 75 East 4th Street.
Since its original opening in 2003, Oddfellows has created 100 different flavors. The shop’s east village location features 8 flavors at a time, on a seasonal rotation. If you’re the type of person who takes food-risks, Oddfellows is the place for you, with experimental flavors ranging from Chorizo Caramel Swirl, to Miso Cerry. Don’t come by this shop looking for a scoop of vanilla.
