A new South Indian restaurant opened in the East Village.
EAST VILLAGE, NY — A new South Indian restaurant opens Wednesday in the East Village.
Khiladi, located at East 11th Street and Avenue B, brings homestyle South Indian dishes inspired by the owner's childhood meals and street food in Andhra Pradesh, a state along India's southeastern coast.
Owner Sruthi Chowdary is working with the team behind the chain restaurant Godavari on the new East Village eatery, at 175 Ave. B.

The 60-seat space has a white wall where South Indian movies from the 70's and 80's will be projected.
