L'Arte Del Gelato Outpost To Open In Bowery Market
You'll be able to find ricotta con fichi caramellati gelato in the East Village starting June 2, according to Bowery Market organizers.

EAST VILLAGE, NY — New Yorkers will soon be able to get their ricotta gelato fix at the Bowery Market, which just announced it will open a L’Arte del Gelato outpost next month.
The outdoor food market on Bowery Street and Great Jones Street will begin hosting the Sicilian gelateria starting June 2, according to an Instagram announcement.

The artisanal gelato makers will be serving up cups and cones of some of their most popular gelati and sorbetti, including ricotta con fichi caramellati (ricotta with caramelized figs), stracciatella (milk cream with chocolate chips) and frutto di passione which we’re hoping you don’t need us to translate.

The selection is set to change every month but the prices will hold steadfast. Small cups and cones with two flavors will cost $5.50 and a cup with three flavors will cost $7.25, according to the menu posted on Instagram.

This will be L'Arte Del Gelato's ninth outpost in New York City — their fancy gelati are currently being sold at La Guardia Airport, Chelsea Market, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and on the Highline.
