EAST VILLAGE, NY — A man forced his way into a woman's apartment early Friday morning, cops said.

The man followed a woman, 21, home into her apartment building at Avenue A and East 12th Street, according to police.

Police said that about 1:45 a.m. Friday, the man followed her to her apartment, forced his way in and threw her to the ground.

He was scared off when he saw the woman's roommate, police said. Police said he ran off towards 11th Street and First Avenue.

No injuries were reported or belongings stolen, police said.

Cops released surveillance photos of him Saturday. Police describe him as having a slim build, brown eyes, a beard and short black hair. He was last seen wearing a black-hooded jacket, black pants, a white T-shirt, black sneakers and carrying a black backpack, according to police.
