Man Mugged Of His E-Bike In The East Village, Police Say
The man had just finished delivering food when someone pushed him off his e-bike and stole it, police said.
EAST VILLAGE, NY — Three people mugged a man and snatched his e-bike in the East Village, the NYPD said.
Late last month, May 29 about 1:45 a.m., three people walked up to a man just finishing up a food delivery in the East Village and asked him where the D train was, police said.
One of the people pushed the man, 51, off his e-bike and then took the bike and ran off westbound from 320 E. Sixth St. between First and Second avenues, police said.

The man was not injured during the mugging, police said.
The e-bike — which police have in recent months been criticized for impounding from delivery workers amid a crackdown on the two-wheelers — was valued at $1,600, per the NYPD.

Cops are searching for three people involved with the mugging: two men in their 20s and a woman in her 20s, police said.
