"I want Vincent Verdi to be punished, to feel more than guilt. I want him to look on himself with permanent disgust. No punishment seems enough," said Lee-Herman's son, Hunter Herman, as reported by the Post.
Verdi, who pleaded guilty in May, said, "I was a man who always had a clear purpose in life, and I believe we were all given life to love. However, now I am bankrupt about love and purpose. I truly struggled with choices I've made."

In 2017, Verdi stalked Lee-Herman for months after they had met on Match.com, Patch previously reported. She was killed outside of her workplace while she was parking a Citi Bike at Cooper Square.
Lee-Herman was remembered for her "contagious smile" with a generous spirit at her funeral at Grace Church, which was packed with hundreds of mourners.
