Ronit Muszkatblit, the director of "Hanna" and artistic director of the 14th Street Y, said in a statement that the play puts an emphasis on playing and drawing.
"We want the children to learn that if you put out positive energy or a positive action, something good will come back to you," Muszkatblit said. "It's a simple story, this cycle, were the goodness that [Hanna] gives to the old man, comes back to her through the moon."
