New Target Coming to East Village, Report Says

The retailer has inked a deal for the building coming to East 14th Street between Avenue A and Avenue B.

Shoppers in the East Village are about to get a big-box store right on the edge of Stuyvesant Town.

According to the Real Deal, the retailer Target has inked a deal to lease the first floor of the new residential development at 500 E. 14th St. The area, which included a Rite Aid among other stores, was demolished to make room for the new development back in 2014.

Department of Buildings records show the building will be seven stories tall, with the retailer on the bottom floor and residential units on floors two through seven. According to city records, the building will contain 106 apartments.
