NYC Restaurateur Debuts New Netflix Show

David Chang, the chef behind Ko and Noodle Bar NY, has a new Netflix documentary series out this month.

EAST VILLAGE, NY — The prolific NYC restaurateur David Chang released a new Netflix series that takes Chang around the world in search of the best food.

"Ugly Delicious," which was released on Netflix on Friday, follows Chang to dozens of cities on a food tour as he interviews chefs, local residents and community leaders about their cuisine and the role it plays in their lives.

Chang became an international food celebrity thanks to the success of the Momofuku restaurant group, the powerhouse behind NYC staples including Milk Bar, Noodle Bar and Ko. Chang's very first restaurant was Momofuku Noodle Bar, located at 171 First Ave., which was later followed by the more high-end in Ko, also in the East Village.
