Fireworks July 4 Weekend With DJ Self
Neighborhood: Midtown East
What: A free July 4 weekend event with complimentary drinks from 11 p.m. to 12 a.m. DJ Self of Power 105.1 will be in the building for a special performance. Hookah will be on hand for those interested. Ladies are free before midnight wil RSVP. Gentleman get in free before 11:30 p.m. with RSVP.

When: Friday at 11 p.m.
Potions Class Afternoon Tea
Neighborhood: Upper West Side
What: Mix up magical, drinkable concoctions like the bubbling Goblins’ Belch, the mouth-numbing Serpent’s Strike and the color-changing Bumbledunes’ Galaxy during this two-hour workshop. Wizard-inspired attire is encouraged.
Where: Cafe Victoria, 107th Street at Columbus Avenue
When: Book your brew for Saturday at 11 a.m., 1:15 p.m., 3:30 p.m. or 6 p.m.

Color Block Party
Neighborhood: Lower Manhattan
What: A free, all-day party featuring artist GERONIMO, who will present her semi-permanent art installation overlooking the East River that incorporates the trademark, oversized balloons she frequently uses in her pieces. All those dressed in colorful attire can enter for a chance to win $10,000 in prizes.
Where: Pier 17, South Street at Beekman Street
When: The celebration begins Saturday at 12 p.m.
Red, White and Brew Pub Crawl
Neighborhood: Lower Manhattan
What: A Fourth of July-themed pub crawl featuring drink specials and exclusive discounts from Bar None, Macho's, Atwood, Amsterdam billiards, The Central Bar, Coyote Ugly Saloon, Pink's Bar and more.
Where: Register at Bar None to begin your crawl: Third Avenue between East 12th and East 13th streets.

Concert for America
Neighborhood: East Village
What: Stars from Broadway, film and TV converge on New York City for a night of entertainment to raise money for four nonprofit organizations dedicated to protecting the human and civil rights of families at our nation’s southern border.
Where: The Great Hall at Cooper Union, Foundation Building, East 7th Street at Cooper Square
When: Doors open Saturday at 4:30 p.m., show starts at 5 p.m.
“Pew Pew Deep Blue” Pop-Up Party
Neighborhood: East Village
What: An under the sea-themed “get down” with painting, performances, mermaid maid makeup and glitter, cuddle puddles and dance music from Breeceus, Drewski, Atman and Scott Mathews. Costumes encouraged.
Where: The Mockingbird, Avenue B between East Second and Third streets
When: Saturday at 10 p.m.
Family Day NYC
Neighborhood: Lower Manhattan
What: Check out a family-friendly DJ, grab some delicious eats from the farmers market and enjoy balloon art, face painting and more at this local event. Cocktails and food will be served at Market Hall, River Lounge and Heineken Riverdeck following the festivities.

When: The family fun kicks off Sunday at 11 a.m.
Hot 97 Summer Cookout
Neighborhood: Greenwich Village
What: A hip hop versus reggae day party hosted by Hot 97, the world’s biggest hip hop radio station. Slug down unlimited Hennessy or try out hip hop- and reggae-inspired unlimited barbeque. Ladies get in free before 3 p.m. with RSVP. Gentlemen can enter for free with RSVP before 2:30 p.m.

When: The battle begins Sunday at 2 p.m.
Prohibition Pub Crawl
Neighborhood: East Village
What: A three-hour walking tour that explores the hidden depths of New York City’s prohibition world. Get an inside look at the locations that once served as the city’s underground speakeasies. Learn about the prohibition and temperance movements. Take a dive into the history of bootleggers and beer barons and finally, enjoy vintage cocktails brewed up by some of New York’s finest bartenders.
