Ricky's To Close All But SoHo And Union Square Shops: Report
Ricky's NYC will close all but two shops in SoHo and near Union Square, according to a report.

UNION SQUARE, NY — All but two Ricky's NYC locations will close by the end of summer, according to the New York Post.
The New York Post reported that Ricky's is teetering on the edge of shuttering entirely — and all but its SoHo and Union Square shops are expected to close.
The iconic beauty supplies store has three other locations — which are in the Upper West Side, Upper East Side, and one Miami location, according to its website.

Eight years are left on the leases for the store's locations at 830 Broadway near Union Square and 590 Broadway in SoHo, the Post reported.
The store's co-founder Ricky Kenig, who sold most of his stake in the company back in 2012 to the Nussdorf family, told the Post: "I heard that they'll be down to two stores — if not zero — soon."

Kenig blamed the shop's new owners for bringing in "non-beauty retailers to run the business," he told the Post.
Four years ago, Ricky's had 29 locations, per the Post. Currently, four remain in New York City — down from 13 last fall.
