Robber Attacks Pedestrian In The East Village, Police Say
Police are still searching for the robber, who punched a man in the face and threw him to the ground, authorities said.

EAST VILLAGE, NY — A robber attacked a man in the East Village and threatened to stab him before stealing his cash and running away, police said.
The robber, who is still on the loose and who police have not identified, approached a 47-year-old man on Jan. 28 at about 10:40 p.m., according to the NYPD. The robber came up behind the man outside of 40 E. 4th St. and grabbed him from behind before punching him in the face, authorities said. The attacker then threw the man to the ground and threatened to stab him before demanding money, according to police.
The robber took $105 in cash before running from the area, authorities said.

The man suffered a bloody nose but did not require hospital treatment.
