Robber Steals $1900 From East Village Bank, Police Say
The man made off with at least $1,900 in cash from the bank, police said.

EAST VILLAGE, NY — A robber stole $1,900 from an East Village bank last week after passing a bank teller a note demanding money, police said.
The man, who police have not identified, walked into the TD Bank located at 21 E. First St. at about 12:45 p.m. on Thursday, according to authorities. He approached one of the bank employees and passed a note demanding money. The bank employee handed over about $1,900 before the thief ran from the area.
No on was injured during the robbery, police said.

Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the thief, who is believed to be between 25 and 35 years old.
