'Stomp' Marks 10,000th Performance In The East Village
The high-energy show is putting on its 10,000th performance at Orpheum Theatre in the East Village.

EAST VILLAGE, NY — The percussion and dance show "Stomp" will perform its 10,000th show in the East Village on Tuesday night, marking more than two decades as a New York institution.
The famed off-Broadway show first opened in the Orpheum Theatre in 1994, after it was founded in the UK in 1991. Stomp has been performing its high-energy show for decades in the theater, located at 126 Second Ave., and its marquee has become a staple of the East Village.
"Stomp" has maintained it commercial and critical success for years, attracting natives and tourist to the East Village for its show. The Stomp cast famously uses everyday items, like folding a collapsible chair, to create a vibrant musical experience.

The show is offering a limited number of $10 tickets to celebrate the anniversary.
