PICS: Upright Citizens Brigade Sells 'Theatre Junk' In E Village
Upright Citizen Brigade Theatre's East Village location closed last month. Now, the former East Village theatre is having a moving sale.

EAST VILLAGE, NY — The former East Village Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre is selling a treasure trove of theatre items until Friday night.
EV Grieve first reported the moving sale — with items strewn throughout UCB's former bar, theatre seats, stage and UCB memorabilia hanging on the walls.
UCB's East Village digs at Avenue A and Third St. closed Feb. 9, Vulture first reported. Since it opened the East Village location in 2011, UCB closed its East Village location due to "extreme costs" in the neighborhood from rent, property taxes and other expenses.

The theatre is selling items from production equipment like tripods, cameras, XLR cables and Arri light kits to furniture including couches, bar stools and inflatable couches. Theatre curtains, lights, amps, leftover items from the theatre's bar and memorabilia are also for sale.
UCB has been selling its leftover items for below market value since Monday, from noon to 9 p.m., a UCB spokeswoman said.
Friday is the last day of the sale. No delivery is provided, and purchased items can only be held until Friday.
