What to eat: Hearty dishes, like the Ainsworth favorite mac and cheese burger, made with a beef patty and a mac cheese patty put together. The pub and restaurant chain opened its latest location in the East Village, where it's offering elevated pub fare. Also on the menu are crispy artichokes, mac and cheese fries, plus a range of other steaks and burgers.

Bonsai Kakigori

Where: Canal Street Market, 265 Canal St., Soho

What to eat: The city’s first kakigori cafe opened in the Canal Street Market this month. The traditional Japanese dessert is made by carving a block of ice and adding special toppings. The pop-up market at Canal Street has flavors including campfire s’mores, strawberries and cream, spiced apple caramel and more.


Le Sia

Where: 11 E. 7th St., East Village

What to eat: Le Sia opened on Friday near Cooper Square. The new restaurant Chinese barbecue and seafood. You can view the complete menu here.


Indoor at Nowadays

Where: 56-06 Cooper Ave., Bushwick

What to eat: Indoor at Nowadays offers a range of food and drink options in a food hall style setup. Indoor at Nowadays offers cheap, casual eats in a spacious hall that hosts events, plays music and is open late.


Ho Foods

Where: 110 E. 7th St., East Village

What to eat: Ho Foods focuses on one classic dish: Taiwanese beef noodle soup.The simple menu includes one main beef noodle soup option with other add-ons.
