Woman Steals Phone, Credit Cards At Nuyorican Poets Cafe: NYPD

A woman stole a phone and credit cards at Nuyorican Poets Cafe in the East Village, police said.

EAST VILLAGE, NY — A woman nabbed someone's cell phone and credit cards at a popular poetry slam venue in the East Village, police said.

Friday, April 12 about 10:30 p.m., inside of Nuyorican Poets Cafe at 236 E. Third St. between Avenues B and C, a woman walked inside and took a leather case that had a cell phone and credit cards inside, police said.

She walked out of the venue afterwards, according to police.

Police said she is described as about 25- to 30-years-old and was last seen with a blue hat, pink jacket and black pants.
