1770 House Named 1 Of 'Most Romantic Getaways' In NY

In time for Valentine's Day, East Hampton's The 1770 House named one of the "Most Romantic Getaways In New York," according to recent post.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — With Valentine's Day coming up next week, all thoughts are turning to red roses, cozy dinners for two, and how to find the perfect spot to celebrate sweet romance.

In East Hampton, the 1770 House was recently named one of the "The Most Romantic Getaways in New York" by Conde Nast Traveler. The 1770 House Restaurant & Inn, located at 143 Main St. in East Hampton, is the perfect choice for "maximum coziness," according to the post.

"There are a couple of historic inns in the tony Long Island beach town of East Hampton, but this one might be the coziest, with a vibe that works just as well in the dead of winter as it does during the high summer season. Even though it only has six rooms (we like Room 4, with its Art Deco-y floral wallpaper, exposed beams, and wood-burning fireplace) there are two restaurants," the Conde Nast Traveler post said — adding that a splurge on champagne and local oysters at the Tavern is a win-win.
