Aid to the Developmentally Disabled to Host Shamrock Shindig at Long Island Aquarium
Fundraiser to include Irish fun, marine life and comedy

The Aid to the Developmentally Disabled (ADD) will host its 1st Annual Shamrock Shindig on Thursday, March 19 at the Long Island Aquarium in Riverhead.
Guests will be treated to comedy entertainment, Irish dancers and pipers, an Irish buffet, drinks, and private access to the aquarium. The winner of the Shark Tank Showdown will also be lowered into the aquarium’s 120,000-gallon Lost City tank for a nose-to-nose swim with the sharks.
Shark Tank Showdown nominees include Councilwoman Jodi Giglio, ADD Board President Vinny Barry, as well as the entire ADD executive team.

All proceeds from the event will go towards ADD’s mission to create an environment in which people with a range of abilities are actively encouraged to develop and direct services that recognize their desires, ambitions, values and abilities. A nonprofit human services agency, ADD’s compassionate, highly trained, round-the-clock staff work in partnership with the people they serve, their families and the local community to deliver this vital mission.
“ADD is excited to be launching this new event that promises to be fun-filled for all our guests,” said ADD Executive Director Donald Rieb. “The unique ambiance of the LI Aquarium, along with all the entertainment will assure a spectacular night. The most notable part about this event is knowing it will help support all of the people that utilize ADD’s wonderful programs and services in all 30 of our residences.”

All levels of sponsorship opportunities are available (Event Sponsor at $1,000, which includes 2 tickets and prime comedy show seating; Comedy Sponsor at $500; Cocktail Sponsor at $500; and Table Sponsor at $250).
