EAST HAMPTON, NY—Fireworks will once again light up the sky over Three Mile Harbor in East Hampton — and this year, funds raised will be donated to brighten children's lives.

The Clamshell Foundation, which hosts the event, said the goal is to raise $40,000 to help children in the community; funds will be raised for scholarships, and to sponsor kids so that they can attend camps and participate in after-school programs. The Clamshell Foundation will also continue its ongoing support for The Retreat, an organization that helps victims of domestic violence.

The annual fireworks show will take place on July 17 with a rain date of July 18.
