Bicyclist Airlifted After Amagansett Crash
The crash happened just before noon on Thursday in Amagansett, police say.
AMAGANSETT, NY — A bicyclist was injured in a crash in Amagansett Thursday, police said.
According to East Hampton Town Police, the "pedestrian accident" took place in front of Brent's General Store on Montauk Highway at 11:53 a.m. The pedestrian suffered minor injuries but was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital, police said.
Although police did not immediately identify the pedestrian as a cyclist, a post in the East Hampton Star said the person was on a bicycle and was airlifted as a precaution.
