Blake Shelton And Gwen Stefani's Surprise Duet In Hamptons Helps Raises $5 Million

Highlights of the "Apollo in the Hamptons" benefit include performances by Lionel Richie, Ciara, Usher, Jon Bon Jovi and Pharrell Williams.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — It was a star-studded night onstage and off at Ron Perelman's lavish The Creeks estate in East Hampton Saturday night.

Lionel Richie and Gwen Stefani were scheduled to perform, but what always makes the annual event epic is the unexpected surprise celebrity guests who join the onstage and offstage party.

In 2013 everyone was buzzing when Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx hit the dance floor.

This year it was all about Blake Shelton jumping up from the audience to join Stefani onstage as she began her set. According to Page Six, the couple sang “Go Ahead and Break My Heart,” the love song they wrote together.

After Shelton left the stage, Stefani gave him a shoutout as he watched her set: "The tall guy stood up first. Good job, Blake," Stefani reportedly said, according to the Daily Mail.

Jennifer Lopez, who was with her manager, Benny Medina, didn’t perform, but the New York Post reported that Lopez and Shelton did dance together.

The annual event, held at Ron Perelman’s 57-acre Hampton estate, The Creeks, was wall-to-wall celebrities. Some of the notables included Katie Holmes, Jack Nicolson, Harvey Weinstein and his wife, designer Georgina Chapman, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and Sandra Lee, Colin Powell, Charlie Rose, and Christie Brinkley, according to the paper.

With seats starting at $10,000, the event raised $5 million to benefit the music and educational programs for kids at the legendary Apollo Theater in Harlem, the New York Post reported.

Stefani and Shelton left the event early — and the Daily Mail reported it was because she was throwing a Lego party for her middle son Zuma’s eighth birthday the next day.

Ciara, Usher, The Roots, Pharell Williams, Jon Bon Jovi, and the Eagles’ Joe Walsh also entertained the crowd as did the legendary Lionel Richie.

After the party Richie said on Instagram: “Such fun last night raising money & awareness for @apollotheater thanks to Ron Perelman for hosting a great party @theroots @usher @chrisrock @ciara John McEnroe & Don Johnson for helping me out on stage! #allnightlong
