It was best described as a beach bar and restaurant but located in the center of East Hampton Village. Tucked away off main street yet located in the coziest location in the village the Blue Parrot opens up the 2019 summer season in high feather poised to deliver its famous laid back surf beach ambiance.

With a history of the Who’s Who stopping in, the tradition will continue for another decade! In its infancy the Blue Parrot had wild moments with young Woody Harrelson , Bill Murray, Jimmy Buffett, Cheryl Tiegs and other late 1970’s icons using the venue as their weekend clubhouse.

Former owner Lee Beiler who named the bar after a place he loved in Hawaii was a good looking expert surfer who had previously had a restaurant business in Montauk when Montauk was Montauk and the surfing craze was cresting! His world class surfing friends would meet up at the Parrot to watch actual surf movies (of them) on a screen with a projector and cocktail late into the evening.
