Early 4th Of July Long Island Weather Forecast: Too Early To Tell But Looking Good

It's early days but the National Weather Services says the weekend looks to be glorious so far.

Mother Nature might just be smiling on the upcoming July 4 weekend celebrations across Long Island. Sure, the forecast is really too early count on, but it's fun watching and gets us closer to that day off when we swap work for eating.

According to Carlie Buccola, meteorologist with the National Weather Service office in Upton, although it's still early, and the forecast can change, so far, the weekend looks to be glorious from beginning to end across the Island, making for balmy beach days and warm nights ideal for fireworks.

After a bumpy and possibly wet Wednesday, the Friday forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with highs in the mid to low 80s, Buccola said.

Saturday should be partly sunny, with temps in the mid to low 80s islandwide, she added.

And Sunday, Buccola said, fun-seekers will see mostly sunny skies once again, with highs in the low 80s from Nassau County out to Montauk, although there could be some brief showers.

As for the actual July 4 forecast, Buccola said it's too far out to tell, but it's a fair bet to say that Independence Day could be hot and sunny, too — a banner day for parades and festivities.
