Even in the luxurious Hamptons, where million dollar homes are traded like baseball cards and expansive estates dot the miles of windswept waterfront, here's a home that's made news for its wow factor price tag: According to Realtor.com, a home in East Hampton is the fifth most expensive in the United States right now.

Briar Patch is listed at $140 million, fifth in the nation, according to the post, published Tuesday.

"Built in 1931, this beach house is located in the uber-exclusive area of Georgica Pond. The 'world-class' estate naturally includes water views and the Atlantic Ocean in the distance. The home was fully renovated in 1990 and offers 10 beds, 10 baths, and a sundeck with pool. The enormous grounds feature a tennis court and private pond," according deluxe details about the palatial pad on Realtor.com.

The priciest abode on the A-list roundup is Spelling Manor, once owned by Hollywood Aaron and Candy Spelling.

But East Hampton's Briar Patch offers its own magic. According to the listing, the "world class East Hampton estate" features 11.2 acres on exclusive Georgica Pond, home to celebrities and one of the most sought after areas on the East End.

Water frontage offers the chance to revel in sailing, kayaking, canoeing and paddle boarding — and the estate sports breathtaking views.
