East Hampton School Budget Passes Handily
BREAKING: The public showed an outpouring of support, passing the budget by a wide margin.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — The voters have spoken and the East Hampton Union Free School District's proposed 2021 to 2022 budget passed by a margin of 212 to 28.
The proposed $75,157,245 2021 to 2022 budget reflects a 4.41 percent budget-to-budget increase and a 2.87 percent increase in the tax levy, which is within the tax levy cap, the district said.
"We are mindful of the priorities our community has established to maintain programs and the appropriate staffing for our students, and we believe it is most important to keep the interests of our taxpayers in the forefront of our thinking. The Board of Education and I believe we can achieve these goals," said Richard Burns, superintendent of schools. "I hope you will join us in continuing to provide a quality education to all East Hampton's children."

Incumbent BOE members Christina DeSanti, Sarah Minardi and Justine O'Mara Limonius ran unopposed to fill three open seats.
