East Hampton Town Highway Superintendent: 'All the Roads Are in Good Shape'
No major flooding was reported, and East Hampton highway crews have worked through the night to clear the roads after a foot of snow.
When all was said and done, the first major storm of the season, which left about a foot of snow on area roads, passed with no major issues in East Hampton Town.
According to East Hampton Town Highway Superintendent Stephen Lynch, there were no major flooding concerns, and road cleanup has gone smoothly. “All the roads are in good shape,” he said.
No serious accidents were reported, Lynch said. “The roads were empty. People were good. They stayed home.”

The most serious concern was precipitation turning to ice with the plunging temperatures, Lynch said.
