East Hampton's 4th Of July Fireworks Canceled
East Hampton's traditional Fourth of July events may be canceled, but there are several other ways you can celebrate the holiday.
EAST HAMPTON, NY — July 4 events across the country will not look the same this year thanks to the coronavirus. Many cities and towns have been forced to cancel annual Fourth of July events, including the annual Great Bonac Fireworks Show over Three Mile Harbor.
The Clamshell Foundation, which presents the Great Bonac Fireworks Show, said the show won't go on.
"We are sad to announce that by order of the East Hampton Town and New York State, our permits for the annual Three Mile Harbor fireworks show has been suspended," the foundation said. "Due to the current health crisis there is no guarantee the suspension will be lifted. With the health and well-being of our community our number one priority, the 2020 fireworks show over Three Mile Harbor is unfortunately canceled.
