Famed Playwright Edward Albee's Montauk Home On Block

Edward Albee's gorgeous home with breathtaking views is on the market for $20 million.

MONTAUK, NY — The Montauk home of famed playwright Edward Albee has hit the market for $20 million, according to Realtor.com.

Paul Brennan of Douglas Elliman said, in the post, that it was Albee's summer home, and the location is superb.

Albee, who wrote "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" and "The Zoo Story," among other hits, died in 2016 in Montauk; he wrote his Pulitzer Prize winning "Seascape" at the home and on the beach, according to Newsday.

The 2,970 square foot home, located at 320 Old Montauk Highway, was built in 1964, according to the Realtor.com listing, which reads: "Wake up to the waves! This classic four bedroom, three full, and two-half bath beach house is being offered for sale for the first time in more than 50 years. Set on a private 2.8 +/- acres with approximately 200 feet of oceanfront, the estate offers a main house, guest house, and a pool house, plus pool and tennis court all overlooking the beautiful Atlantic Ocean."
