EAST HAMPTON, NY — A modernist masterpiece in East Hampton is on the market for just $2.75 million.

The iconic arch-shaped home, designed in 2010 by architect Maziar Behrooz, was inspired by an airplane hangar, with part of its layout built underground into the hillside, according to a post on Realtor.com.

However, the home was seized by the Department of Justice after the owner's husband was charged in 2017 and sentenced to prison in a securities fraud case, the Realtor.com post said.

According to the Realtor.com listing, the home is a "beautiful smart house contemporary with industrial flair" including a modern island kitchen with high end appliances, full pantry, living room and dining room with floor to ceiling windows throughout, a master bedroom suite with a fireplace, bath with dual shower, towel warmer racks, three additional bedrooms, three additional baths, a recreational suite with pool table/pong, a gym, a three car garage, an in ground pool with two pool houses , a fire pit and hot tub. The home, the listing says, is convenient to a tennis club, the village, beaches and a local airport for an easy commute to New York City.
