Juliana Purcell Sheehan, a Montauk based contemporary artist is presenting a unique glimpse of Braille Art in Montauk. She said, “I actually encourage people to touch the work in order to experience the texture of this form of art.

She will be hosting the Thursday outdoor showings at Hero Beach Club which will consist of 15 to 20 pieces including prints. The shows start at 5Pm and sharply at 7pm. Children are welcome.

Juliana said, “My paintings I already encouraged people to touch the texture, but after I saw someone who was blind at one of my art shows, I knew I needed to be more creative. A few days later I learned Braille so I could put messages in them. Art should be for everyone.”
