Local Educator Honored For Commitment To Wellness

Congratulations to Principal Beth Doyle!

EAST HAMPTON, NY — A local educator was honored recently for her dedication.

The 2018 School Wellness Champion Award was given to Beth Doyle, principal of John Marshall Elementary School on May 3.

Doyle, who was nominated by a colleague for the award, "brings a deep passion and commitment to her work and has promoted a culture of wellness throughout her school," according to the Wellness Foundation, a Sag Harbor organization.

"Through groundbreaking education, support, and inspiration, we’ve been empowering children and adults to take control of their health and build a community where healthy choices are accessible and affordable," the Wellness Foundation's website stated.

The Wellness Foundation was founded in 2005 by Douglas Mercer, "a visionary man committed to building a healthy community," the website also said
