Correction: No Spraying on Wednesday

Napeague, Beach Hampton, Accabonac Harbor scheduled for spraying.

Correction: Marshes in East Hampton will not be treated on Wednesday. We regret the mistake.

Suffolk County Department of Public Works will be spraying for mosquitos in several parts of the county on Wednesday morning, officials announced.

Nearby, methoprene will be applied by a low-flying helicopter from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday in North Haven and North Sea. 

According to the county, no preparation is necessary for the spraying, and "the products involved have no significant human toxicity."

Should spraying be delayed due to inclement weather, it will take place on the next suitable day.
