Opinion: Missing Going to the Movies

I miss seeing movies on the big screen. I always enjoyed buying a large popcorn a Coke and perhaps a bag of twizzlers heading down the aisle for a choice seat.

I love the previews for the movie and I love the sound systems in the big theaters that sometimes are able to amplify the sound effects of the movie on the big screen.

I also loved seeing the film ever so large and and I miss that tremendously.

There is no doubt that I took the excitement in the actual film watching of the Hamptons International Film Festival for granted. I understand how virtual has become the safest route for communicating lectures conferences and seeing media live but I just miss going to movie theaters. I am not sure how or when they will be able to open up the theaters. I don’t know if it’ll ever be like it was. That idea is very sad.

The Drive-In experience just isn’t he same as an air-conditioned theater on a hot summer night with a really good movie.
