Opinion: The Virus on Long Island, The Wait and the Anticipation
Nobody really knows anything except it's not ending soon

So like everyone else on Long Island I am wondering what is the Virus deal really all about? They are canceling things they never canceled in my 67 years on earth. Schools, concerts, NBA games, Hockey games even the NCAA basketball Tournament (costing colleges and networks billions) and every hour it’s something else.
So what are we not being told? What are we being prepared for one drastic step at a time? Are the Malls and supermarkets next? Will gas be rationed? Will the mail continue to be delivered? Will our power grid be effected. The truth is no one has the answers.
Notice nobody is predicting when this might end but only the next drastic actions. Will they close the LIRR, NYC Subway, the toll bridges? Maybe? Or definitely? All actions are aiming us eventually into staying at home, maybe even in just one room.

You know it’s bad when House Speaker Nancy Pelosi isn’t criticizing President Trump about closing down European Travel into the USA. I sense all our control freak leaders are afraid they have no control on what’s going on?
Will Gov. Cuomo be sending the National Guard to Long Island for quarantines? Probably most likely. What surprises me is we are still in the phase where not all that many folks are really sick at this time. Yet all these draconian measures as if an asteroid is heading our way and NASA is afraid to tell us what is really about to happen.

The reports from Northern Italy are frightening with The NY Times reporting doctors are so overwhelmed they are deciding who to try to save and who to let go to die. And Italy isn’t some third world country.
I just thought I would take 10 minutes off of my normal day to share these possibilities that may be our Summer and beyond this year. Perhaps even longer.
