While several egg hunts scheduled for this past weekend were cancelled due to the weather, the rain and low temperatures didn’t stop the fun during the Children’s Museum of the East End’s egg hunt on Saturday.

The second annual Mad Hatter Egg Hunt was so popular the museum had to create two egg hunt sessions at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Shortly before 8 a.m. on Saturday, the museum, located in Bridgehampton, announced on their Facebook page that the event had completely sold out for both sessions.

After designing and decorating their own hats and bags, the children participated in a scavenger hunt for “Eco” Eggs containing healthy treats and other goodies inside and around the museum.

During the event, the kids also got a chance to help pick a name for the museum’s new “March Hare”.

Local kids and adults alike enjoyed the festivites, including: Manuela Cardoso, Douglas Borge, Alejandra Hobson, Leo Mendelson-Tomeo, Gideon Mendelson, Izzy Mendelson, and Chloe Laconte; all pictured below.
