Richard Gere Drops Price on Hamptons Waterfront Estate
You can live next door to Jimmy Buffett in Richard Gere's beautiful estate. But it's going to cost you...

NORTH HAVEN, NY - Not only can you live next door to Jimmy Buffett this summer, you’ll be getting a real bargain if you are the lucky house hunter who finally snags Richard Gere’s 6.3 acre waterfront North Haven estate.
Originally, Gere hung a $65 million price tag on his 12-bedroom/12 bathroom Hamptons compound — Strongheart Manor, which includes a main house and two guest cottages, back in 2012. Two years later, in 2014, Gere reduced the price to $47.5 million. And now the NY Post is reporting that the compound has been relisted with Corcoran’s Susan Breitenbach for $36.5 million.
Located on Actors Colony Road, the waterfront mansion not only faces Peconic Bay, it comes complete with its own pond, basketball court, and pool. The main house was originally built in 1902 in the classic Hamptons shingle style—and the compound is subdivided into three single snd separate lots.

Situated close to Sag Harbor's Main Street and with Shelter Island just across the bay, the property is in an idyllic location.
Gere, who purchased the property 10 years ago for $6.9 million, has been spotted commuting on the Hampton Jitney in the past, but no word if he's ever paid a visit to his neighbor's "Margaritaville" manse.
