Sag Harbor Students Help Keep Needy Warm as Temperatures Plunge

Pierson High School students organized a coat and sweater drive.

SAG HARBOR, NY- Pierson High School student council members spread the love and helped to keep the needy warm this winter by organizing a coat and sweater drive.

The initiative, which ran from January 8 to January 22, yielded boxes full of gently used coats and sweaters. The donated items will be delivered to the Sag Harbor Community Food Pantry and be distributed to those in need.

“We were happy to do our part to help those in need,” said senior Meg Atkinson-Barnes.
