Save the Date: Dancers Pirouette in April

The Hampton Ballet Theatre School will perform two new ballets at Guild Hall.

Spring is just around the corner and so is the Hampton Ballet Theatre School's spring ballets.

The school will premiere two new ballets, “The Graduation Ball” and “Carnival of the Animals,” as well as some other surprises in a program at Guild Hall on April 26 and April 27 at 7:30 p.m. April 28 at 2 p.m.

Advanced ticket purchase is $25 for adults and $20 for children under 12. Premium orchestra, private box seating and group rates are also available in the John Drew Theater.

“The Graduation Ball” is a comedic ballet about about a military boys school attending a ball at an all girls school. “Carnival of the Animals” is a collection of barnyard, zoo and wild animals dancing on the stage to the whimsical score of Camille Saint-Saens.

Now in its sixth year, Sara Jo Strickland directs and choreographs the ballets, with costumes designed by Yuka Silvera. Sebastian Paczynski designs the lighting.
