And that's not all: In December, 7 East End communities made Property Shark's 2017 list for the most expensive zip codes in the U.S.

A total of 4 Nassau County and 7 Suffolk County zip codes made the top 100.

In order to rank the zip codes, Property Shark took the median sales price of all house sales closed in 2017, including condo, co-ops, single- and two-family homes.

The most surprising ranking on the list was Sagaponack, which has ranked at number 1 for the past two years but dropped down to number 15 for 2017.

According to Property Shark, the drop was mainly due to more sales recorded at lower price points, which dropped the median sale price by half. This year, Sagaponack's median sale price was $2,819,000, while the all the zip codes in the top 10 had a median price of at least $3 million.

Atherton, California took the top spot with a median price $4,950,000

On the East End, Sagaponack was beat out by Water Mill, which came in at number 9 and Wainscott, which came in at number 10.
