Video Captures Lightning Strikes in East Hampton, Flooding Reported

Severe thunderstorms rolled through the region Wednesday, bringing dangerous lightning strikes and even a tornado warning for a stretch.

Hamptons Baseball Camp captured the incredible video below of lightning striking East Hampton numerous times over a 15-second period.

Flooding was also been reported around town, including near the East Hampton Library. The photo above is courtesy of Brittany Thompson.

A small tornado struck Mattituck at 4:25 p.m Wednesday, the National Weather Service said.
