According to the district, the proposed $71,979,573 budget reflects a budget-to-budget increase of 1.46 percent and a tax levy increase of 2.67 percent, under the New York State tax levy cap.
Three candidates, including incumbents Jacqueline Lowey and John J. Ryan, Sr., as well as George Aman, are running for two open Board of Education seats.

Voters also weighed in on a proposition to approve a $2.2 million expenditure from the capital reserve fund for a new high school kitchen cooking laboratory. "The purpose of this improvement is to prepare the students for the high culinary demand the area has," the district said, adding that advantages include no traveling time for students and no BOCES tuition cost.

The capital reserve fund, the district said, was established to cover capital construction projects without the need to borrow money. The project would have no tax rate impact, the district said.
