18-Year-Old Robbed At Gunpoint While Sitting In His Car

UNIONDALE, NY — A teenager was robbed at gunpoint while sitting in his car Wednesday night, and Nassau County police are seeking the public's help to find the person responsible.

According to police, an 18-year-old man and a 16-year-old girl were sitting in a car on the corner of Compass Inlet and Front Street in Uniondale at 10:19 p.m. An unknown man approached the the car and pointed a black semiautomatic handgun at the 18-year-old's neck and demanded money. The man handed over his cell phone, and the robber fled on foot west on Commodore Road.
